Not really that much to talk about in this episode. It just more or less sets the course of the future episode(s) (at least the second half) - meaning the Founding festival.

The interesting thing was that Ryoma managed to create soap, which is bound to be a very popular product in future. He also got his hands on some otherworldly Surströmming. I liked it how he managed to get rid of the stench of the fish by using the deodorant slime.

Yeah, it really bugs me when businesses decide to just dispose of something that they can't sell. Its a shady tactic to keep their prices high. The diamond industry does it too (well, they dont discard the extra diamonds, they just lock them all away and limit how much is put out on display to fabricate their 'rarity'). I mean, didnt they do that with milk or something not too long ago? They had to dump out all kinds of excess milk or something because they had too much. At least i think it was milk. Either that or something else. People were saying that it was necessary, otherwise farmers would lose profits and go out of a job. Now, i think it'd be great if somone can start up a company that'll somehow allow for us to buy stuff directly from the farmers rather then paying the high prices to the stores.

Ryoma is just a little boy who is planning to dominate the whole industry and being industrial revolution all by himself. Dude started as an Laundry Franchise, and the Adventurer, then Perfume, Medicine, Musical Toys, Food industry, etc. This guy is getting more and more richer in Slimes.

Can they at least still eat warm/hot things ? Coal...? Heated Coal...? Perhaps a Slime that sucks in Warm/Hot Air ? That might work...

Yeah it can be tried but as far as coal is concerned, writer has already used it to evolve Cleaner Slime into Deodorant Slime.
Hot or Warm air can’t be eaten cuz’ a slime must need a materialize substance (solid/liquid) to evolve. Fire or Hot/Warm air are both gases.
Absorbing odor is an ability which is gain by eating charcoal.

So it makes no difference if the Coal is Burning or Frozen ? Slimes consuming Burning or Frozen Coal will just be treated as regular coal-consumption ? Atmosphere can always be thickened (what is known as Viscosity) perhaps... with Water being the only known substance that can take on all three properties of Solids & Liquids & Gasses, I have reason to conclude that a variety of other substances could be mixed into Water for a variety of Effects, for Slime-Consumption. I suppose it is ultimately up to the Author to decide to consider such things...

I’m understanding what u r trying to say but as far as I have read there is no such slime exist in the manga.
May be writer will modify the conditions for slime evolution in future. Cuz’ consumption of material within their original form without using any unnatural phenomena (performed by human) will not evolve the slime. But about Liquid and solid thing was only mentioned indirectly so may be they will add gases in future but I’m not sure of it cuz’ I haven’t fully completed it.

Was it specifically mentioned that a slime can't eat fire? If his deodorant slime can absorb odors, i dont see why a slime can't absorb fire. Furthermore, im pretty sure i've seen some fire slimes in other anime/RPG-games.

I will love to see a Fire Slime but as far as I have read, there is no possibility of it.
First of all, Absorbing Odor and Eating fire are 2 completely different things. Secondly, Absorbing Odor is an ability that a cleaner slime achieve after evolving into deodorant slime. It evolve by eating charcoal. A slime must need a materialize substance (solid/liquid) to eat where as fire is not solid but gas.

I hope slime don’t get killed after that😂.
